We are well and truly into Autumn now and with it comes cold evenings, bright warm days and the wonderful colors of the trees changing colour. We even have a dusting of snow on the top of Monte Vettore this morning!

We're also just about to launch headlong into Chestnut Festa season. "What's that?" you could be forgiven for asking but it is the time of the year when the chestnuts ripen (historically a dietary staple) and you can eat sweet chestnuts in an amazing variety of ways
